Katherine M. Bidegaray

Nonpartisan

Bidegaray has criticized attacks on “women’s rights,” signaling a desire to safeguard abortion access. She has also received donations from a number of attorneys and nonprofit leaders, as well as Democratic Bozeman Sen. Denise Hayman and Democratic Gallatin County Commissioner Jennifer Boyer. [1]

Dan Wilson

Nonpartisan

According to former Supreme Court Justice Mike Wheat, Wilson is "beholden to right-wing interests and cozy with Republican leaders." Donors to Wilson’s campaign include prominent Republicans: Gov. Gianforte, Lt. Gov. Kristen Juras, state Senate Majority Leader Steve Fitzpatrick and other GOP lawmakers. [1] [2]

Jerry O'Neil

Nonpartisan

Served as a Republican in the State Legislature from 2001 to 2013. Not a member of the state bar association and currently engaged in a lawsuit against the state Supreme Court and the bar association arguing that the Montana Constitution’s requirement that a judge be “admitted to the practice of law in Montana for at least five years” is itself unconstitutional. Cory Swanson

Nonpartisan

Swanson is a 47-year-old county attorney and military veteran with no judicial experience. A “tough-on-crime” prosecutor who shared a law practice with prominent conservative lobbyists before taking a job under former Republican Montana Attorney General Tim Fox. Self-acknowledged political conservative. Backed by many members of the GOP. [1] [2]

Doug Marshall

Nonpartisan

“When I talk about who I'm going to vote for, I don't know,” he said. ”I'm not going to vote for myself just because I'm running.” [1]
